Our Visit from Lori and Adam.

We got to have my Sister in Law, Lori and Nephew, Adam stay with us from last Thursday through Tuesday! It was a blast but I have really been missing them since they left and find it difficult to recap our time with them. I am getting over it now (somewhat) and have finally decided I will write this post.

Friday -  We had a great lunch at Bahama Breeze.

We ordered some appetizers; corn cakes, coconut shrimp and spinach dip. I also ordered the veggie sandwich with fries and split it with Nick. While we waited for the food to arrive, I caught Nick checking the Tigers game score on his phone.

We also enjoyed some delicious drinks. We all ordered something different and then tried each others. Mine ended up being the favorite and we all had the Ultimate Pina Colada for the second round.

After lunch we headed to Pirate's Cove to play mini golf!

Nick, Adam and I all got hole in ones (sorry Lori)! Like always, Nick won!

We saw this cute little guy catching some rays.

Friday night we met up with Nick's brother, Mike his wife, Liz and their son, Justin. We enjoyed some drinks along with live music at the Pub by our house and then decided to head back to our house to hang out. We had a great time hanging out!

Saturday - We went to the first home game for Tigers Spring Training in Lakeland! Being in the sunshine and watching baseball is one of my favorite things to do. We are all definitely into sports and it is a great time being out there watching the game with family.

Adam was able to get Danny Worth and Quintin Berry's autographs before the game!

Then we headed to our seats to enjoy the game!

 

Sunday - We went to the Daytona 500!! This was the main reason for Lori and Adam coming down to Florida; to take Adam to the Daytona 500 for his birthday. It was all of our first time going to this race and it was awesome! We got to go down into the pit area, on the grass and walk on the track!

We saw James Franco being interviewed about the new Oz movie that is coming out.

There were a ton of people there! The race was great and we had pretty good seats too. 

At one point, Nick's two favorite drivers, Jimmie Johnson and Brad Keselowski were in first and second place!

The best part was that Jimmie Johnson won (and not Dale Jr.)!

Monday - We relaxed! We had been on the go all weekend long it was nice to sit back at home and just enjoy each others company. We picked up Four Rivers Barbecue - aka the greatest barbecue in the world - and just hung out.

 

We couldn't have asked for a better weekend with our loved ones. I hope they enjoyed themselves and had as great as a time as Nick and I did. I can't wait to see them again in May!
