This is one of my "go to" recipes. It is easy to make and doesn't require too many ingredients or time.

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1 jar pasta sauce
  • 2 cups whole grain penne pasta, cooked
  • 1/2 tomato, chopped
  • 1/2 green pepper, chopped
  • 1/4 onion, chopped
  • 1 tbs italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • salt and pepper, to taste

Brown the ground turkey while your pasta is cooking.
Put pasta sauce in large saucepan and simmer. Chop onion, green pepper and tomato.
Once the turkey is cooked through, mix in the italian seasoning.
Add the turkey, pasta and chopped tomato to your pasta sauce. In the same skillet as you browned the turkey, pour in the olive oil and saute the chopped onion and green pepper. Cook until soft (about three minutes).
Once the onion and green pepper are ready, add to the sauce along with the garlic.
Mix well and serve. Top with your favorite cheese of choice. I used Mozzarella.
