College Bound.

As you know, Nick and I are planning on moving to Michigan in the near future. I haven't talked much about it lately because we've been making some decisions on how we want to pursue this move. Now I finally have an update for you all on the topic and I will start with talking about Nick's dream job. He coached High School Football for a couple of years before he moved to Florida in 2007. The first year he coached, his team went 8-1 and his second year they went 9-0. Nick was born to be a coach and I know that this is the path he is supposed to follow. Coaching football is his passion and that is what he is going to do as his career.

He put in his resignation at work and his last day is at the end of this month. The reason he put in his resignation you ask? He is going to go to school full time to get his Associates Degree at a local community college. I am so excited for him and this opportunity! He starts school in May and will be graduating in December 2014. Once he graduates, we are moving to Michigan (which will be in spring 2015)!!

I am going to keep working while he goes to school. It is going to be really weird and hard not to get to spend everyday with him. Right now we carpool, have lunch together (when I don't workout) and then spend the evenings together. I know I'm not going to like not having my best friend at work to talk to and spend time with but it is going to be worth it in the long run. I think it will make me look forward even more to coming home after work and getting to spend time with him and talk about our days.

Once we move up to Michigan, he will transfer to a Michigan University where he will get his Bachelor's Degree in Education. He plans to get established at a High School, teaching and coaching, and may even move up to the collegiate level some day!

We are so excited that we have a set plan in place and are moving forward with this huge life changing decision. I cannot wait to go out on a crisp Fall Friday night in Michigan to watch him do what he does best.

  2. Love the picture you posted, Beth!! I actually thought I was Barb for a second there. Must be her hair style. ANYWAY, this is not news to me, but I have to say I really enjoyed seeing it all written down. Made it seem more REAL or something. I am so proud of you both. This will be a big change, but it's the right one. I feel it in the depths of my soul - and it's not just because you'll end up closer to me in Michigan. That's just MY BONUS in the plan. I love you! 3. By the way, I'm publishing my comment as Anonymous (but signing my name at the end) because I'm not signed up with any of the other choices to my knowledge. If you have any suggestions on that for me, please help your blog iliterate sister. :) Gina
